I have been having very bad side effects this time around and have not been able to spend much time on this bb.
Can you tell me about those of you who are taking the dysport and are having good luck with it besides lynn in austalia?!

Kathy, Sorry to hear that you are having side-effects from your Botox. What kind? It might help some of the newbies if we talked about some of the side-effects. Hope that you are better soon.

Shirley in Arkansas where it is sooooo very humid.

Well, my right eye was half closed for almost 2 weeks, looking much like the picture our moderator posted of herself, then as it opened , the left eye would start squeezing, so both were squeezing at different times. this has gone on now for many weeks , is disorienting and exhausting to say the least and as you all know, any weather makes it much worse. they clear up when it is sunny and then maybe later the same day it is worse. this happened to me many years ago but i forgot how bad it was. the doctor mentioned that the botox may have been too strong this time.

Hi Kathy.
Well, you know that the right eye half closed (ptosis) is probably due to the Botox being injected too close to the levator muscle. And if you are still squeezing tightly shut then the Botox wasn't strong enough or wasn't given in the right place. Sorry that you are having to deal with this and the weather. How long ago did you get your injections? and when do you get them again?
Life can really be the pits at times.
