Make plans now to attend the Pacific Regional Dystonia Patient Symposium to be held on Saturday, September 6, 2003, at the Doubletree Hotel Irvine Spectrum in Irvine, California. Symposium co-coordinators Neal Hermanowicz, M.D., Director of the Movement Disorders Program and Associate Professor and Vice-Chair of Clinical Affairs in the Department of Neurology at UC Irvine, and Martha Murphy, Leader of the San Diego Dystonia Support Group, Regional Co-coordinator for the Pacific and Northwest, and Pacific Patient Advocacy Director for the Foundation, have put together an impressive program for the day. This educational event features a wealth of well-known speakers, including Neal Hermanowicz, M.D., Mahlon DeLong, M.D., David Song, M.D., Ph.D., Mitchell Brin, M.D., David Swope, M.D., Zeba Vanek, M.D., Giselle Petzinger, M.D., and Jennifer Friedman, M.D., who will discuss secondary dystonias, surgical treatment, exercise and brain repair, botulinum toxin therapy, the latest in genetic research and much more. The registration fee for the Symposium is $25.00 per person which includes all conference materials, a light breakfast, lunch and breaks.
