I went last week for my botox shots and I DIDN'T NEED THEM!! My doctor said either the blephs are in remission (10-15% go into remission) or I may be one of those people who don't need botox every three months. He said sometimes after getting the shots for a period of time, you may not need them as often. I've only been getting Botox for two years and only a small amount - 30-35 units total. I'm happy...

Cheers,
DeeOR

Dee - That IS Good News! Encouraging for all of us, too. I've been having shots for about 10 years or more, so I don't expect to get the same news, but congratulations to you!! Mary

Kathy & Rita,

I don't know if the blephs are all gone. I only know that right now I am not having any symptoms. However, since I have multifocal dystonia, I am not holding my breath. I think they have just calmed down for now because I got rid of a HUGE stressor, I just didn't realize how huge until it was removed from my life! The last two times that I got my shots, I had ptosis really bad. And the last time (3 months ago), I had ptosis is both eyes - I looked like Popeye! And my doc even used a lower dose of Botox. So this time when I went in I had no signs of blephs and didn't need the botox. I do hope I am among that 10-15%! Also, I have been doing exercises that a friend told me about. I squeeze my eyes shut as hard as I can for about 2-3 minutes at a time and then I open them and they stay open. I do that several times a day. So who knows what's really going on here? All I know is I'm not blephing!

Cheers,
DeeOR
