NO MORE DYSPORT - the reason why

He Everybody

Am back on Botox again. My doctor said that the Dysport I was given was a sample but it was very expensive and NOT subsidized by the Government. It is available for use for OTHER forms of Dystonia but not BEB - in Australia anyway. The doctor said the rep told him that the company was not interested in pursuing it (presumably subsidization, a costly and lengthy process apparently ) as a treatment for BEB. We both thought this was a strange attitude for a profit making company - surely the more conditions a product can treat, the better.

Allergan must be laughing all the way to the bank.

So that is the end of my experience with Dysport. One would think the Government would be interested in a treatment that is required only half the number of times as current treatments . It would even cut my travel costs in half.

Lyn on a lovely sunny winter's day

So sorry, Lyn, to hear that you can't get Dysport again after it lasting longer for you than botox - what a bummer.... Keeping pressing the company and perhaps it will happen for beb soon. Best wishes.

June in Toronto who enjoyed a beautiful summer's day
